ABOUT THE MISSION:
The family of PFC Edward Junior Watt has requested the PGR stand a flag line at his service and accompany their Hero from to Ft. Gibson National Cemetery. U.S. Army will perform honors at FGNC, PFC Watt was in the Pacific theater India Burma, Central Burma and receieved two Bronze Stars, Eddie was also a Law Enforcement Officer.

AFTER ACTION REPORT – 09 August 2019, PFC Edward Junior Watt, USA World War II Veteran, Tahlequah, OK
Under near monsoon conditions, three Patriots, two on bikes, gathered at Reed & Culver Funeral Home to honor PFC Edward Junior Watt, USA World War II Veteran. PFC Watt was an MP and served with “Merrill’s Marauders” in the China-Burma-India theatre during WWII. The Marauders were recognized for their deep penetrations into Japanese held territory and engaging forces many times their own size. Upon return from the service, he became a Nebraska State Trooper. Truly a man who served his country and community all his life. He married his wife of 70 years at 6:00AM in the morning as he was scheduled to be in court that day.
Flags were posted and we held a briefing to review the current mission, discuss upcoming missions and concluded with a moment of silence for all of our Gold, Silver and Blue Star mothers/families, and a prayer. We then manned the doors and helped attendees wade through what became a steady and intense rain. Once the service concluded, we formed a respect line as our hero was transferred to the coach for the procession to Fort Gibson National Cemetery.
The procession went well given the conditions and we arrived at FGNC to be greeted by another PGR member who had staked flags for our arrival. We once again formed a respect line as our hero was transferred to the Committal Shelter. The VFW Honor Guard presented military honors including a 3-gun volley and following that the PGR made its presentation of plaque, invocation and final salute.
Thank you to those Patriots who braved the elements and biked to this service. We also thank the Watt family for inviting us to join in the celebration of their hero’s distinguished life. Mostly, thank you PFC Edward Junior Watt for your selfless service to our country both as a soldier and a law enforcement officer. May you rest in peace.
