ABOUT THE MISSION:
The Patriot Guard Riders have the honor of standing for US Army retiree Staff Sergeant Edward J. “Mack” Mackinnon. SSG Mackinnon retired from the military in 1992 and settled in Glennville, GA about a year later where he was employed at Smith State Prison as a mechanic. Mack will be remembered for his love of piddling and helping others.

Special Instructions:
We will rally at 1:30 with mission briefing shortly afterward. We will stand an honorable flag line from 2:00 to 3:00 pm, then stand by during the short service.
An Army Honor Guard will be present to fold the flag and play taps.
After the brief (10-15 minute) service, there may be a rolling honor guard to Reidsville depending on the weather conditions.
Coronavirus precaution disclosure: Please bring a mask and wash hands often, be prepared to follow the guidelines from state and local officials as well as facility or cemetery guidelines to be outlined at the mission briefing.
A general record of attendees will be held by the ride captain for a period not to exceed 2 weeks in the case of the need for contact tracing. If you test positive for COVID-19 within 10 days of attending a mission please contact Ride Captain with that information, your name will NOT be disclosed.
Those who are sick, have a household member or other close contact who is sick should not attend and those who have a higher risk of severe illness should weigh the benefits of in-person attendance against the risk of exposure to a person with COVID-19, especially if recommendations for wearing masks and social distancing may be difficult to follow for themselves or others.
