AFTER ACTION REPORT: Edward Glen McAnulty, USAF Veteran, Kellyville, OK
Friday, 12 July 2019 was a hot, humid and sunny Oklahoma day. The PGR staged at Kellyville First Baptist Church. Flags were posted across the front and down the entrance side of the church. A briefing was held covering the mission and several changes that the family had made. Following the briefing a Moment of Silence was observed for Blue, Gold and Silver Star mothers and families, our troops around the world and first responders. A prayer was given for this mission and the family involved. A Flag Line was formed under a large covered entryway into the church due to the heat welcoming family and friends. A Respect Line was formed as the family entered the church from the activity building. The posted flags were then retrieved and prepared for the next mission. At the end of the service the PGR entered the church, Taps were played, the flag was folded and presented to Mrs. McAnulty. The PGR plaque and Invocation Letter were read and also presented to Mrs. McAnulty. A Final Salute was given and participated in by all in attendance. The PGR exited the building and formed a Respect Line as “Bill” McAnulty was moved from the church into the coach. As the cemetery portion was going to be a private family service, the PGR was dismissed.
Thank you, to the McAnulty family for inviting the PGR to be a part of this service to Honor this Hero. Thank you to the PGR riders that took time out of their day to “Stand and Honor” this hero. Many of the riders this was their second mission of the day.
“Rest in Peace” Edward Glen “Bill” McAnulty, USAF Veteran, your mission is complete, you are gone, but your service to this Great Nation will never be forgotten.
Special thanks: The Ride Captain of this mission was overcome by the heat and was treated and taken home by this great group of PGR riders. Many thanks to all in attendance for stepping in and making this mission a success.
Respectfully submitted:
Mike “Penni” Pennington
