The family of Edward Flynn has invited the MN Patriot Guard to stand a flag line in honor of his life and service to our country
Edward served in the US Air Force
Edward “Ed” Flynn, 56 of Burnsville, Minnesota passed away on May 15, 2016. He was raised in Plymouth, Pennsylvania, and attended nearby Wyoming Valley West High School and was very active on the football and track teams. In 1980 he enlisted in the United States Air Force. He served various overseas assignments, was a Gulf War Vet and spent 14 years at Minot AFB, North Dakota working with the A.M.M.O unit supporting the B-52 Bombers. He finished his decorated service to his country at Eielson AFB in Fairbanks, Alaska in 2004. Ed raised 5 children and was married to Tammy McBeain on April 18, 2009. They made their home in Burnsville, MN and later that year he continued his service to his country as an Air Force civilian and was relocated to Edwards AFB, California. He was an avid deer hunter and loved the outdoors. Always testing the limit with his snowmobiles and he quickly earned the nickname “Fast Eddie” Ed was also a Nascar enthusiast and even competed online with his custom built computer racing simulator. He was also a huge sports fanatic
