ABOUT THE MISSION:
Edward F. LaBelle answered his country’s call to service during World War II entering the US Army’s Air Corps in 1943. He rose to the rank of Sergeant serving in the capacity as a medic and ambulance driver for those wounded returning bomber crews.
After being honorably discharged in Germany in 1946 he returned home to marry and raise a family of five children. He worked as a machine operator for Allegheny Ludlum Steel and Alltech Steel finally retiring at age 55. In October of 2011 Edward went on an Honor Flight to Washington D.C. and it was all he talked about for the next five years.
The Patriot Guard Riders will be privileged to be there to render Honor, Dignity and Respect for the life and service of this World War II veteran.
