AFTER ACTION REPORT: Edward “Ed” Willingham, USAF Vietnam Veteran, Sapulpa, OK

Monday, 04 November 2019 was a very pleasant and sunny afternoon. Eleven PGR riders staged and briefed at the Smith Funeral Home Chapel. Flags had been posted around the parking lot and were blowing in a gentle breeze. A Flag Line was formed across the front of the chapel, the door was manned and family and friends were greeted. At the conclusion of the service, the US Air Force Honor Guard came forward, refolded the flag, played Taps and presented the flag to Mrs. Willingham. The PGR then came forward, thanked the family for the invitation to honor Edward Willingham’s service, the PGR plaque and Invocation Letter were read and presented to Mrs. Willingham. A Final Salute was then given and participated by all in attendance. The Honor Guard and the PGR then exited the chapel. Posted flags had been retrieved and prepared for the next mission.

Thank you to the Willingham family for inviting the PGR to honor this Hero. Thank you to the many PGR riders that took time out of their day to “Stand and Honor” this Hero.

“Rest in Peace” Edward “Ed” Willingham, Sr, US Air Force, Vietnam Veteran, your mission is complete, you are gone, but your service to this Great Nation will never be forgotten.

    Respectfully submitted:
    Mike “Penni” Pennington
