ABOUT THE MISSION:

The Family of Edgar David Gross has asked the Patriot Guard to honor their loved one by escorting him from Huntsville International Airport to Limestone Chapel Funeral Home, standing a silent flag line at his Visitation and funeral Service with escort to his final resting place. The final escort will be by horse drawn caisson and horse drawn cannons. We will be Honored to do so. WT2 Gross stood for us…..now is the time to stand for him. WT2 Gross (40) was in the US Navy aboard the USS Oklahoma in Pearl Harbor when approximately 8 torpedoes struck the ship killing 429 Heroes standing for our Freedom.

I was on the aircraft that brought him from Omaha to Atlanta. Everyone was very respectful and the Captain was especially respectful. He gave a wonderful speech and was very moving. I am a vet of the USAF and thank you for Edgar’s service and sacrifice.
