Duane L. Thurner, 78 of Waupaca, WI passed away Tuesday, May 24, 2016. Duane was born in 1937 in the Town of Seneca, WI. After Duane graduated from Clintonville High School in 1955, he enlisted and proudly served in the U.S. Marine Corps from 1956 until 1959. He originally considered a career in the Corps but with the birth of his daughter he knew a family was his true calling.
His family says he was always aware of the sacrifices others make for our freedom and he would be honored if we would join them as they celebrate the time he was with them. Duane’s Brother-in-law is our PGR Brother Bill Jensen and Duane told his family that what we were doing was “a very good thing”.
