ABOUT THE MISSION:

This is multi-state mission:
Duane joined the United States Army and was stationed in Germany as an Infantryman. After six years he switched his MOS to Light-Wheeled Vehicle Mechanic and was stationed in Fort Sill, Oklahoma where he was assigned to the famous 2nd of 2nd BN “Deuce – Deuce” and gained notoriety for his physical stamina by becoming a member of the prestigious 500 Mile Running Club. In 1984 he was honorably discharged and chose Wichita Falls, TX as his home because he had met the love of his life, and took their vows on February 23, 1985.

We will place our static flags along the street sides of the church and stand for the arrival of the friends and family of PFC Outlaw. Once the service starts, we will return our flags to the support vehicle, have a short debrief and be dismissed. We will meet back at the church at 11:50 to prepare for the procession to Fort Sill National Cemetery.

The Escort will require a $2.00 toll each way.
Procession Staging Time: 1150 am
Briefing Time: 1200
In Position/KSU Time: 1210 pm
Starting Time: 1210 pm
We will meet back at the church to accompany the procession to Fort Sill National Cemetery. It is approximately 60 miles and all but the first 5 or 6 blocks will be four lane highway with no stop signs or traffic lights. We will be taking I-44 all the way until we get to the exit for the cemetery. There is a toll booth before we get to Lawton, OK.
There will be a mandatory safety briefing before departure, if you do not attend the safety brief you will not be allowed with the procession.

Starting Time: 2 pm
We will be met at the cemetery by the Oklahoma PGR who will have flags up and waiting for us. We will proceed from the visitor center to the designated shelter where the Fort Sill Honor Guard will perform military honors. Once the service is complete, we will have a short debrief and be dismissed.
