ABOUT THE MISSION:
Cpl. (E-4) Douglas Freeman Smith Jr. US Army, served honorably from June 1953 to November 1955. Trained as a Personnel Specialist, he completed a 15 month tour in Korea, serving in Headquarters Battery., I Corp Artillery. Cpl. Smith finished his service obligation in the ready reserve. He was awarded the National Defense Service Medal, the Korean Service Medal, and the United Nations Service Medal.
