ABOUT THE MISSION:

The family of COL Douglas E. Moody has requested the Patriot Guard Riders to stand for their hero. We have advised them that it will be our honor to be there. COL Moody worked as an engineer in the defense electronics industry and taught at Mercer University in the graduate and undergraduate engineering programs. He was a former Director at MERC (Mercer Engineering Research Center). He started the Future Scientist and Engineering Club at Russell Elementary. Col. Moody was a very successful and accomplished individual and was very involved in various professional and civic organizations throughout his life.

We will stand a silent flag line of honor until the service begins at 11 am. Then we will stand down and prepare to escort COL Moody to Magnolia Park Cemetery and Mausoleum. Temperatures are expected to be near freezing.
