ABOUT THE MISSION:

Mr. Greaves, 95, enlisted in the US Navy in 1942 and completed two years of officer training at the US Naval Academy Midshipmen School (1942-44) followed by two years of active duty in the Pacific as a Lieutenant JG on the USS Menard (1944-1946). During active duty in the US Navy, Don fought in the Invasion of Okinawa. He left the service as a Lieutenant.
