The family of USAF Veteran Donald Ray Vegher, A2C, has asked the PGR to Stand a Flag Line at his service on Saturday Feb 27, 2021 at 2:00 at the Matthews Funeral Home. We will then accompany the hero and family from Matthews Funeral Home to Sunny Lane Cemetery, Del City, OK. Donald Vegher, Jr., the son of this hero is a member of the Patriot Guard Riders of Oklahoma.

Special Instructions:

Mandatory Briefing: 1:15 p.m.
Stand flag line: 1:30 p.m.
At the end of the service, we will form up and accompany the hero for graveside services.
Upon arrival we will form a respect line and then surround the family with our presence.
USAF Honor Guard will be performing honors.
Big bike flags are needed.
Weather: partly cloudy Highs in mid 60s ….. Stray shower possible.

  1. Feb 27, 21 Mission Complete USAF Veteran Donald Ray Vegher, OK

    On Saturday February 27, 2021 there were 21 Patriot Guard Riders in 6 cages and 9
    motorcycles who attended the service for USAF Donald Ray Vegher.

    The briefing was held, followed by a moment of silence for the Blue, Silver & Gold Star
    families, POWs, and MIAs. A prayer asking comfort for the grieving family, a safe mission, and
    protection for our military personnel engaged in the Global War on Terror was also said.

    The American Flag flew proudly standing a Respect Line at the Matthews Funeral Home in
    Edmond, OK.

    Patriot Guard Riders were asked to act as Pall Bearers and accepted the honor.

    The Riders stood a Respect line as the coach arrived at Sunny Lane Cemetery, Del City, OK
    and our Hero was moved from the coach to the Bier.

    Military Honors were performed by the Air Force Honor Guard, Taps was played, and the
    American Flag was Folded and presented to the Spouse of our Hero.

    The PGR Plaque was read by a Rider and thanked the family for allowing the PGR to
    participate in the ceremonies and the Ride Captain read the Invocation which were then
    presented to the Family.

    Thank you to all our fellow Patriot Guard Riders for attending this mission. Your presence
    made a difference to this family.  Most of all, thank you A2C Donald Ray Veghan for your service to
    this Great Nation. Rest in Peace Soldier, your mission is complete, and you will not be
