ABOUT THE MISSION:
The Patriot Guard Riders have been honored with a request by the family of Sgt Donald R. Slinkard to stand tall and silent in honor of their loved one.Sgt Slinkard served his nation with honor in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam era. During his service Sgt Slinkard received the National Defense Medal. After leaving the Army, he began his working career at the Department of Welfare then worked as a Director of Data Processing at the Division of Employment Security until his retirement. After his retirement from the state, he worked for Central Bank in the data processing department and then retired there also.Sgt Slinkard was an active member of St. Andrew Catholic Church in Holts Summit. He was very active in the Knights of Columbus Association and the Cemetery Committee.
