ABOUT THE MISSION:
Mr. Norton enlisted in the Navy upon graduating from high school in 1944 and was assigned to the attack transport, USS Montrail. He participated in the Leyte Gulf and Okinawa campaigns. He was honorably discharged in 1946, but remained in the Naval Reserve. He was recalled to active duty in August of 1950 and served on the attack transport USS Sanborn during the Korean War. He was discharged from active duty in 1952.

After the mission briefing, Riders will take the flag line. We’ll then stand tall and silent in honor of his Service to our Country.
Our certificate will be presented following Military Honors.
At the conclusion of the Service, flags will be returned to the Support vehicle and the Riders will be debriefed and dismissed.
Please bring your mask to wear as required. Start time approximate.
