DESCRIPTION:The family of Donald Johnston Sr has invited the Patriot Guard to stand a flag line in honor of his life and service to our country. \nDonald Charles Johnston\, Sr. was born on July 14\, 1919 in Missoula\,  Montana. When the Great Depression hit our nation in 1929 Don’s family  was forced to leave Montana and move to Minneapolis to survive. The  family settled in North East Minneapolis where Don attended Edison High  School\, graduating in 1936.  World War II broke out on December 7\, 1941  changing our world and the lives of Don & Sonia. Don enlisted in the  U.S. Army in February 1942\, and after receiving his training\, served in  the Army Signal Corps on the island of Guam in the Pacific Theater of  WWII. Donald returned to civilian life in 1946 and worked as an  Aerospace Engineer for the next 40 years with Engineering Research  Associates\, Control Data\, and Honeywell working mainly on U.S.  Government Military Defense projects. \nPlease come out and stand in silent tribute to Honor Donald’s life and service to our country. \n1:15 pm– Stage Lane A (along fence on 34th Ave S) at Ft Snelling National Cemetery\n1:45 pm – Brief\n2:15 pm- Interment \nEstimated release: 12:00 pm \nDismissal at RCIC’s discretion. \nThis is a rain\, or shine mission. Please bring your 3 x 5 American Flag  and anything else you may need for the duration of this mission. \n“VA regulations 38 CFR 1.218 prohibit the carrying of firearms (either  openly or concealed)\, explosives or other dangerous or deadly weapons  while on VA property\, except for official purposes\, such as a military  funeral honors. Possession of firearms on any property under the charge  and control of VA is prohibited.
