ABOUT THE MISSION:

Ladies and Gentlemen of the Patriot Guard Riders, we have been invited to stand for Donald “Don” Robert Mellander, age 90. Don served in the US Navy from 6 September 1950 to 16 August 1954 as an Electronics Technician (Radar) 1st Class (E6) on the USS Essex (CVA-9). He earned the Korean Service Medal, the United Nations Service Medal, The National Defense Service Medal, the China Service Medal, a Good Conduct Medal, and the Korean Presidential Unit Citation Medal. Please join us as we pay our respects and honor his service to our nation.
