Back on a very frigid February morning (-°15) we stood a flag line during calling hours and the memorial service for Diane Robinson. Because of the cold weather the internment was not possible till now. Next week her family will make the journey back from Georgia to lay her to rest. We have been asked to once again help with the dignified transfer, and escort Diane and her family to her final resting place.
Diane was a long time resident of Cortland County holding several civic jobs within the community, then moved to Georgia with her family where she soon after joined the PGRGA. Diane was the sister of our own PGR member, Mike Homer.

Narrative:
Diane is the sister of PGRNY member Mike Homer from Dryden, NY. She, like her brother, was very active in supporting our veterans in Georgia where she and her husband lived. In her younger years when she lived in the Cortland area she was a member of the Cortland Police Department as well as a 911 Emergency Call Center Operator.
Please come and show your support for a family who time and time again stood beside us as we honor our own.
Please dress warmly, it’s supposed to be bitter cold. We will be rotating members in and outside so we have no weather related issues. As always, please bring a clean 3×5 flag.
