The family of Sergeant Derrell M. Hope Jr. has requested that we stand tall and silent in a flag line of respect and honor prior to the services for their loved one. It will be our privilege and honor to do so.
Sgt. Hope served over 8 years in the United States Air Force. During his service to our country he earned and was awarded the following: Air Force Commendation Medal, Air Force Longevity Service Ribbon w/OLC, Presidential Unit Citation, Unit Citation, Vietnam Service Award, Vietnam Campaign Award, Air Force Overseas Award, Air Force Good Conduct Medal, Small Arms Expert Marksmanship Ribbon w/device, National Defense Service Medal and the Humanitarian Service Award. Hero Hope served as a Law Enforcement Specialist.
He leaves behind his 2 children, 3 Grandchildren as well as a long list of other family and friends.
Please join me in standing tall, silent and respectful in a flag line of honor for this American Warrior. Stand down Sir; your watch here has been completed. Your next duty station will be to patrol the skies of Heaven.
We come to thank you and honor you for your service to our nation. Your service allows us the freedoms we enjoy today. You will never be forgotten.
