The United States Army National Guard has requested the Nebraska Patriot Guard Riders participate in the send-off ceremony for the Nebraska Army National Guard Aviation Battalion.

FLAG LINE: 12:30 pm
CEREMONY: 1:00 pm
Just prior to the Ceremony beginning the Ride Captains will direct the Flag Line inside to flank the perimeter.
Safety being paramount – ride only if conditions permit. The Nebraska Patriot Guard Riders have been recognized by the National Safety Council and the Nebraska Office of Highway Safety for adhering to and promoting motorcycle safety. Ride Alert – Ride Safe.
Flags & Water:
Flags will be provided
Large Bike Flags will NOT be needed.
Water WILL NOT be provided, please bring your own.

DEPLOYMENT CEREMONY

Highwood/Ft. Sheridan, Illinois

The Patriot Guard Riders have been asked to stand in support of a group of brave American soldiers during a ceremony prior to their deployment. In accordance with operational security guidelines and at the request of those involved, further relevant details will be provided at the mission briefing.

DATE: Saturday, January 16, 2009

LOCATION: 401 Anderson Rd., Highwood/Ft. Sheridan, Illinois. For directional purposes, locate the intersection of Sheridan Rd. and Old Elm Road, Highwood/Ft. Sheridan. 401 Anderson Rd. is four tenths of a mile North of that intersection, on the East side of Sheridan Rd. and adjacent to the North entrance of the Ft. Sheridan Cemetery.

The Patriot Guard Riders will park in the lot on the far East end of the property.

STAGING TIME: 12:00 Noon

BRIEFING TIME: 12:30 PM

An indoor flag line will follow during the ceremony.
