ABOUT THE MISSION:

The Patriot Guard has been invited by the family of SGT Deontis T. Holmes, United States Army, to stand in his honor and escort him to Barrancas National Cemetery. SGT Holmes honorably served in the United States Army from Nov 1996 until Nov 2016. SGT Holmes received the following awards: Bronze Star, Afghanistan Campaign Medal(2), Iraq Campaign Medal(4), Army Commendation Medal(4), Army Achievement Medal((5), Army Good Conduct Award(5), National Defense Service Medal(2), GWoT Medal, and spent 2 tours of duty in Iraq and 1 tour in Afghanistan

Special Instructions:

Naval Air Station requires long sleeve shirts and trousers, long-fingered gloves, DOT approved helmets, leather footwear covering the ankles and proper eye protection. This attire will always be worn at all times while riding aboard the base.
8:00 AM – Safety brief for all riders
8:15  AM – KSU to Joe Morris & Son Funeral Home
8:30 AM – Arrival at Joe Morris & Son Funeral Home
9:00 AM – Roll Time to Barrancas National Cemetery
9:30 AM – Honors at Barrancas National Cemetery
Flags & Water:
Flags will be provided.
If you have large bike flags, please bring them.
Water will be provided.
