ABOUT THE MISSION:
The family of USA SP4 Dennis Wayne Maples has honored the Patriot Guard Riders with a request for an escort from the Walnut Lawn Funeral Home to our hero’s final resting place at the Missouri Veterans Cemetery, Springfield MO. We will stand a flag line where full military honors will be rendered. Hero Maples was born on April 20, 1942 in South Galloway, Missouri and passed on March 28, 2020 in Springfield. He served proudly and honorably in the US Army as an Artillery Surveyor from 1959 to 1962 advancing to the rank of Sp4. His final duty assignment was at Fort Bliss, TX, then following his discharge he served in the USAR until 1965.
