Dennis served in the US Army from 30 March 1970 to 21 December 1972 with the 11th Armored Calvary “Black Horse” Regiment. He was Honorably Discharged at the rank of Private First Class (E3). During his time in the Army he earned the National Defense Service Medal\, the Vietnam Service Medal\, the Vietnam Campaign Medal w/ 60 Device\, the Army Commendation Medal and an M-16 Sharpshooter Badge.
