Ladies & Gentlemen of the Patriot Guard Riders;
We have been invited by the family of Delmar “Del” Luse, to stand a flag line in honor of their loved one. While in high school, Del participated in the United States Marine Corps Reserves where, following graduation, he enlisted in the United States Air Force. Del served from August 29, 1949 until his honorable discharge as a Staff Sergeant on Jan 27, 1953 from Norton Air Force Base in California. Del started at the Boeing Company almost immediately after the Air Force. He retired after 39 years beginning first as a draftsman, and later becoming a Systems Analyst.
Del had many interests and hobbies, including golf, water skiing, family camping, stained glass creation, hiking and traveling, both in the United States and internationally. He also enjoyed downhill and cross country skiing and square dancing.
Del is survived by his beloved wife Dolores, their four children, a brother and sister, numerous nieces and nephews, 10 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren who affectionately called him “Grandpa Reindeer”.
