ABOUT THE MISSION:
Ladies and Gentlemen of the Patriot Guard Riders, the Veteran Advocates of Oregon and Idaho will open a new headquarters on May 17th and 18th in Ontario Oregon. The PGR has been requested to attend and participate by assisting in escorting the “Traveling Wall and a flag line during the opening ceremony.

The Wall Escort Group is leaving Roseburg at 8:30 am PDT on May 17th and estimate arrival in Vale at 4:30 pm (5:30 MDT) That gives us time to get to Ontario, check into the motel, and travel the 23 miles to Vale to check the route and prepare for the Wall’s arrival and escort to the Ontario address.

Five PGR members from La Grande were joined by six Riders from Idaho to meet the trailer bearing the Oregon sections of ” the traveling wall” as it arrived in Vale from Roseburg, OR , then escorted to Ontario’s headquarters for the Oregon/Idaho Veterans’ Advocates at 9780 West Idaho Ave. The trailer was escorted to The headquarters and unloading began with the help of the riders and the Advocate volunteers. A delicious meal was provided , a salute to the workers and the wall was rendered. A program was to fallow on the 18th at the Headquarters.
