Dedication: Bamberg Veterans Memorial Trail
Bamberg, South Carolina – 11-11-20
ABOUT THE MISSION:
Dedication: Bamberg Veterans Memorial Trail South Carolina Patriot Guard Riders participated in a parade honoring Veterans followed by the groundbreaking of this Veteran Trail on 12 April 2018. Each branch of the military has a special monument as well as a beautifully crafted bench bearing the emblem of their branch of service. The Bamberg County Veterans Trail is the only one of its kind. The City of Bamberg and Bamberg County will now dedicate the completed Memorial Trail and unveil a new monument created by Brad Spencer. Mr. Spencer is the only brick sculptor in the United States who creates intricate, life-like sculptures from brick. The brick sculpture will be the centerpiece of the Veterans Memorial Trail. Around the center of the statue are bricks honoring Bamberg County Veterans who were killed in action. The keynote speaker will be Major General James E. Livingston who is a Medal of Honor recipient. His amazing life is chronicled in the book, “Noble Warrior”. 20 patriots will be wrapped with a quilt from The Quilts of Valor Foundation. Visit: Link
