DESCRIPTION:The family of USMC Cpl. David Otto Brents\, age 71 has asked us to stand for their hero and it will be our honor to do so. Mr. Brents passed away on May 29\, 2016. \nCpl Brents served in Vietnam from 1966-68 active duty and continued in the Reserves until 1972. \nHe later joined the Dekalb County Police Department where\, over course of 25 years (1973-1998) he made his way to becoming the Deputy Director of Public Safety over Communications. During his tenure there he designed and implemented world leading\n9-1-1 systems.
