United States Marine Corps – Afghanistan

Patriot Guard Riders have been invited by the family to honor a fallen veteran and brother. Cpl David Michael Wilson, 27, died at home on February 25, 2016. He was born September 13, 1988, in Forest Grove, Oregon. He graduated from Rio Rancho High School in 2007. In April of the same year, he enlisted in the US Marine Corps and left for Camp Pendleton in June. He served as a machine gunner in Golf co. 2/5, and Lima co. 3/5 in multiple deployments, including Afghanistan, as part of Operation Enduring Freedom. David was honorably discharged in July 2011 and returned home to Albuquerque.
