DESCRIPTION:updated 14 JUN 16@2210EST ArmySSG \nThe family of David Leon Graves has invited the patriot Guard Riders to be present to honor this hero for his service to his country.  It will be our privilege to do so. \nDavid\, 68\, served in the US Army Sept. 12th 1968 to Sept. 12th 1970.  David served in the Vietnam War and was awarded the Purple Heart\, National Defense Medal\, Good Conduct Medal\, the Vietnam Service Medal\, the Good Conduct Medal\, the Vietnam Campaign Medal\, qualified as a Marksman with the M-14\, Overseas Service Bars (2) and the Combat Infantry Badge. \nIn civilian life David was active in his community as a member of the Native Sons of the Golden West and The Clampers\, Squibob Chapter.  He loved watching horse racing\, and watching old western movies and war movies. \nDavid is survived by his wife\, Nancy; a son and a daughter-in-law; 5 grandkids; and two brothers.  He is preceded in death by one sister and one brother. \nUpon David’s arrival at the cemetery\, he will be transferred to a vintage fire truck which will take him to the grave site. \nNote: This notice is to facilitate your voluntary participation in honoring this Military Veteran.  For those interested\, and all are welcome\, we will be accompanying this hero from the family home to his final resting place.  Please see the time table if you would like to participate.
