The family of David Lee Hawn has requested that the Patriot Guard Riders man a flag line before the funeral and escort him to his final resting place in Girard, Kansas on 09 Sept 14.
Sergeant Hawn served in the Korean War and was injured on a land mine while serving there. His honors include National Defense Medal, Korean Service Medal, 2 Bronze service stars, United Nations Service Medal, the Bronze Star, and Purple Heart.Services will take place at Waugh-Yokum and Friskel Funeral Chapel, 16 N. Buckeye, Iola, Kansas at 10:00 am with a 66 mile escort to Girard Cemetery and grave side services to follow.

0850 hrs. (8:50 am) – Kick Stands Up to leave for funeral home from Jump Start Travel Center, 1700 East St, Iola, KS 66749
0900 hrs. (9:00 am) – Stage and set flags at Waugh-Yokum and Friskel Funeral Chapel, 16 N. Buckeye, Iola, Kansas
0930 hrs. (9:30 am) – Man flag line
1015 hrs. (10:15 am) – Ride Briefing
1100 hrs. (11:00 am) – Escort to Girard Cemetery 66 Miles, please make sure flags are highway capable
