ABOUT THE MISSION:
America has lost another Vietnam War Hero. U.S. Army Major David Leroy Basham served two tours in Vietnam. He served his country for over fourteen years from July 1964 until his honorable discharge in February 1979. Attached to the Army CID unit, he was a chief detective. Major Basham was awarded four Army Bronze Stars, two Army Commendation Medals, Vietnam Service Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal (w/device), Vietnamese Cross Of Gallantry (w/palm}, and the National Defense Service Medal. After he left military service he led a very successful Private Investigating Firm. He is survived by his four daughters, ten grandchildren, a great-granddaughter, and brothers, nieces and nephews.

After a briefing, we will establish a flag line for the arrival of family and friends from 11 am until the commencement of the service at 12 pm. We will line up and KSU at approximately 1 pm for the escort to Georgia National Cemetery. Service at GNC is scheduled for 2 pm. If going direct to GNC please arrive there by 1:30 pm. We will move to the assigned shelter at the appropriate time.
