ABOUT THE MISSION:

Mr. Cosgrove enlisted in the United States Navy on May 31, 1944 serving in the Pacific Theater until his honorable discharge on May 26, 1946. As an Electronic Technicians Mate, he spent several months on one of the islands erecting communications equipment to report on enemy activity. He achieved the rank of ET2 prior to his discharge and was awarded the WWII Victory Medal and the Asiatic Pacific Area Campaign Medal.

Special Instructions:

Service Starting Time 10:15 am
We will stage at the Information Center at DFW National Cemetery. After the briefing Honor Bikes will be selected. Several riders will be asked to proceed to the designated shelter to place flags. Upon arrival of the funeral coach, remaining riders will pull into the staging lane for the procession to the shelter, to then stand in as family throughout the service. One rider will be designated to receive the flag and will sit on the far left side of the bench. After the service, flags will be returned to the storage locker and riders will be debriefed and dismissed.

If you have large bike flags, please bring them.
Water will be provided.
