Honor Mission
David Douglas Washburn, Retired
Medicine Park, Oklahoma – 02-24-19


The family of MSG David Douglas Washburn has requested the Patriot Guard Riders to stand and honor their fallen hero.
Dave joined the Army in Oct of 1972 where he was stationed at Ft. Sill, Ok. Upon fulfilling his obligation to the Army, Dave joined the Oklahoma National Guard 1/158 Field Artillery (MLRS) where he served as A Btry Motor Sergeant for many years.  When called back to active duty during Operation Desert Storm, Dave proudly served with his fellow soldiers of the 1/158 FA. He was a good leader and supervisor to his troops. Upon release from active duty and returning to home duty station, Dave transferred to the Army Reserve where he achieved the rank of Master Sergeant. Dave retired Aug 2005 having served our great nation for 33 years.
Services will be 2pm Sunday 24 Feb 2018 under the direction of Becker Funeral Home of Lawton.

Staging Time: 1:00 p.m.

  1. Michelle and I wish to pass on our sincere condolences to the family and friends of this American Hero. We would like to thank this Hero for your service and sacrifice in the protection of our freedom. You will not be forgotten. We pray you rest in peace.
