ABOUT THE MISSION:
David Booher was commissioned as a 2nd Lt in December 1983 in the United States Air Force. Lt Col Booher was honorably retired from the United States Air Force Reserves in July with over 27 years of service to his country. After 911 he was called back to active duty in support of Operation Noble Eagle to ensure homeland security in defense of our nation. In 2007 he was deployed to Afghanistan in support of Operation Enduring Freedom. After retirement, he continued federal service in the Civil Service as the Reserve Advisor at Eglin AFB, Florida, retiring in February 2014. Lt Col Booher’s numerous awards and decorations include the Meritorious Service Medal w/2 devices, AF Commendation Medal w/1 device, AF Achievement Medal, Meritorious Unit Award, AF Outstanding Unit Award, National Defense Service Medal w/ 1 Bonze Service Star, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Armed Forces Reserve Medal w/Silver Hourglass, and the NATO Ribbon. Lt Col Booher was born 23 Nov 1960 and passed from this earth on 28 Apr 2020 at the age of 59 years. The Patriot Guard will escort family and friends to Barrancas National Cemetery and stand a silent flag line during military honors.

NAS Pensacola requires long sleeve shirts, long trousers, long fingered gloves, DOT approved helmets, leather footwear covering the ankles, and appropriate eye protection. This attire will always be worn while riding on NAS Pensacola.
Covis19 precautions will be observed per PGR State guidelines, including the mandatory donning of face masks (covering both mouth & nose) during the mission. Social distancing of 6 feet, 20 feet from the family with no physical contact between family or guests and the use of hand sanitizer. Upon mission conclusion, flags to be returned to the trailer/vehicle and sanitized for stowage.
