USA
Ward, South Carolina – 04-03-21
Ward, South Carolina – 04-03-21
ABOUT THE MISSION:
CPL David Vansant, US Army, served his country in South Korea very soon after the armistice as a dog handler, allowing him to patrol the 38th parallel within sight of his counterpart on the other side of the DMZ. The experiences he had were both serious and amusing as he talked about finding underground tunneling, then calling in an artillery barrage on the area. After his tour of duty, David opened a 5 door garage for highway vehicles, pulpwood equipment and peach processing plants. He traveled the east coast as an independent contractor for peach processing facilities before retiring. David was highly respected for his skills and perseverance getting projects completed on time and within budget. He will also be missed come hunting season for birds to rabbits to deer.
