Honor Mission
David Alan Miller, Retired, Veteran
Ballwin, Missouri – 05-08-20



Mr. Miller served 22 years in the United States Air Force as a F-15 Fighter Pilot. In addition to protecting his country and preserving its freedoms, Alan “Killer” Miller served nine years as a fighter pilot weapons and tactics instructor. Mr. Miller earned numerous awards including the Air Medal with 5 devices, Aerial Achievement Medal, Air Force Commendation Medal with 2 devices, Meritorious Service Medal, Joint Service Commendation Medal, Combat Readiness Medal, National Defense Service Medal with 1 device, Air Force Overseas Long Tour Ribbon, Armed Forces Service Medal, Southwest Asia Service Medal with 3 devices, Air Force Training Ribbon, Air Force Longevity Service Award with 4 devices, Small Arms Expert Marksmanship Ribbon with device, Kuwait Liberation Medal – Saudi Arabia, Kuwait Liberation Medal – Kuwait, and the Air Force Outstanding Unit Award with Valor with 6 devices. Hero Miller also served in Operation Enduring Freedom in 2003.As a civilian, Mr. Miller finished out his aeronautical career with FedEx as a Fleet Captain, working in conjunction with the FAA to keep the pilots safe and strong, and later enjoyed time at their lake with his family and mastering his pruning techniques of his grapes.

8:15 – Honor escort to Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery (20 miles)
9:00 – Interment – The Patriot Guard will not attend the interment portion due to space limitations at Jefferson Barracks, but will render honors as Hero Miller departs the admin building to find his final resting place.
