ABOUT THE MISSION:

CDR Bennett joined the United States Navy on 1 OCT 1943 and served his country proudly for over 24 years. During his time in the Navy, CDR Bennett served as a Naval Fighter Pilot, a flight instructor, and as Commander Fleet Air Miramar. CDR Bennett received the following awards: Air Medal (5), Presidential Unit Citation, Navy Unit Citation, Korean Presidential Unit Citation, WWII Victory Medal, Navy Occupation Service Medal (Europe), National Defense Service Medal, Asiatic Pacific Campaign Medal, Korean Service Medal, and the United Nations Service Medal. One of the Greatest Generation Individuals, CDR Bennett was born on 30 March 1924 and died on 12 December 2020, he was 96 years old at the time of his passing.

Special Instructions:

NAS Pensacola requires that long sleeve shirts, long trousers, long fingered gloves, DOT Approved helmets, leather footwear covering the ankles and appropriate eye protection be worn while riding aboard the base.
Face masks are mandatory and will be in place from arrival at staging until completion of the mission. You may remove your mask while riding but must be replaced when you get off/out of your vehicle. Hand sanitizing is recommended. Maintain a 20ft distance from the family and 6ft between riders. At the conclusion of mission flags are to be returned to the flag carrier for sanitization.

Water will be provided.
