SSG Karanovich had numerous assignments in the Army including the 24th Infantry Division\, the 1st Aviation Brigade and the U.S. Army Forces Command (FORSCOM). After his retirement from the U.S. Army Daniel continued his charitable and patriotic service to veterans and their families by serving in several veteran service organizations including the American Legion\, Veterans of Foreign Wars\, Disabled American Veterans and The Society of Forty Men and Eight Horses (commonly known as The Forty and Eight).
