The family of PO2 Daniel Cove has graciously requested the Patriot Guard Rider’s presence and to stand a Flag Line during a Memorial Service for their loved one. PO2 Cove served his Country in the U.S. Navy and performed duties as a Utilitiesman in the Seabees.

PO2 Cove entered the U.S. Navy in 2004, completed Basic Training in Great Lakes, IL, then attended Utilitiesman “A” School in Wichita Falls, TX. Hs first duty assignment was Naval Mobile Construction Battalion One Thirty-Three in Gulfport, MS., where he was assigned as a Crew Leader, Lead Utilitiesman and MLO/CTR leading Petty Officer. PO2 Cove then completed deployments to Okinawa, Iraq, Cuba, Guam and a sea deployment aboard the USNS Mercy in support of South East Asia Pacific Partnership mission in 2008. During deployment on the USNS Mercy, they made stops in the Philippines, Vietnam, Timor Leste, Papua New Guinea and Micronesia. PO2 Cove was also a Seabee Combat warfare Specialist.

Upon completion of his military service, PO2 Cove received an Honorable Discharge and awarded the Navy Achievement Medal, Navy Unit Commendation, Meritorious Unit Commendation, Navy Battle “E” Ribbon, Navy Good Conduct Medal (3rd award), National Defense Service Medal, Iraqi Campaign Medal, Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Armed Forces Service Medal, Humanitarian Service Medal, Navy Sea Service Deployment Ribbon (3rd award), Navy Riffle Sharp Shooter Ribbon and a Navy Pistol Export Medal.

Please bring your 3 X 5 American Flags and join us as we stand in silent Honor and Respect for our U.S. Navy, GWOT Seabee to show he is not, nor will ever be forgotten.

Note: We will stage at the location indicated below, conduct the briefing and the Ride Captain will lead the group (approximately 2 miles) to the destination where the Flag Bikes will be lined up for display.

Flag Bikes strongly encouraged.
