Honor Mission
Dale D. Stocks Sr. – Veteran
USMC – Vietnam

ABOUT THE MISSION:

The Patriot Guard will stand in silent honor for Dale D. Stocks Sr. for service to our Country.  Dale enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corps in September of 1968 and served honorably until he was wounded during an engagement near Hill 55 in Viet Nam for which he received a Purple Heart.  Dale was separated due to that injury and was treated as a Veteran the remainder of his life.
LCPL Dale received the National Defense Ribbon, the Vietnam Service Medal and Campaign Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal, the Vietnamese Gallantry Cross w/ Palm and Gold Frame plus the Campaign Action Ribbon.
He worked a number of jobs after his recovery until he opened a Norfolk Legend in “Dale’s Train Station” in Virginia Beach. Dale and his wife and family including two U.S. Marines live in the area.

Maintain all COVID-19 precautions and mandates as directed by the CDC and our Governor.
All bikes with flags can be inspected to insure they are road worthy.

If you have large bike flags, please bring them.
Water WILL NOT be provided, please bring your own.

  9. It was a pleasure talking with you the other day setting up our the PGR to Honor your husband. My family talked about the trips to the Train Store and meaning Dale while he showed little boys his trains. We feel a loss at learning of his passing and promise that our sense of grief is only overshadowed by knowing that he will be remembered in the dreams of children, adults and some of us olé grazers that got to know him. Pease know that your Train Train store will never be forgotten as well as your partner in it.

He will be missed, but our area is richer due to his love of trains (and toys).
