The family of Chief Warrant Officer 5 John ‘Jack’ McCarley has requested the presence of Patriot Guard Riders to support his funeral service. After a lifetime of service to his country, his community and his fellow man, they have lost a good man.
Jack McCarley graduated high school in 1947 and immediately enlisted in the armed forces, first, in the United States Navy. He separated from the Navy three years later and joined the South Carolina Army National Guard beginning an Army career that spanned more than 30 years. He was called to active duty in 1983 and retired from active duty status in 1986.
Jack McCarley then began a new career with Carpenters for Christ and worked for 12 more years assisting those in need. He was a man who loved his God, his family, his country, his community and was a friend to anyone who needed one.
Sadly, it is time for his family to say good-bye. It is right and fitting that Patriots be there to honor a lifetime of service.
