The family of CW5 Carl W Shumpert, 79, USARNG Retired, request the Patriot Guard Riders escort and stand for their Hero, which it will be our Honor to do so.
CW5 Carl W Shumpert was born in Pelion SC and graduated from Pelion HS Class of 1954, after graduation he joined the USARNG where he served for 42 years. He received numerous awards and had the honor of being the first Chief Warrant Officer to achieve the rank of CW5.
Services will be 10:00 am Wednesday July 20, 2016 at Red Bank UMC. Burial will be 12:00 noon at Fort Jackson National Cemetery.

Part One Execution: Upon completion of briefing we will establish Flag Line until start of service at 10:00 at which time we will break flag line down and await end of service at which time we will establish Honor Line at hearse to render Honors as CW5 Shumpert is placed in hearse.
Part 2 Escort
Part 2 Execution: We will have the Honor to perform escort under LEO to Ft Jackson National Cemetery for a 12:00 Service. If you are going straight to the cemetery, please arrive to the Administrative building at 11:30 to meet the RC to proceed to the interment shelter together. Flag line will be formed to receive the procession and stay in place until interment services are over.
