HONOR MISSION
CW3 Michael Adkins, 37, US Army, ACTIVE DUTY, Operation Iraqi Freedom Veteran, Bronze Star Recipient X2, Killeen, TX


The family of Chief Warrant Officer 3 Michael Adkins has requested the presence and participation of the Patriot Guard Riders at the Funeral Service and Interment of their Loved One.

Michael joined the Army in 1997 as a Unit Supply Specialist. He was selected for Warrant Officer Candidate School as a Property Accounting Technician in 2005. Michael had two Peacekeeping deployments to the Balkans and 4 Combat Deployments to Iraq. Michael earned many award and honors to include two Bronze Star Medals and three Meritorious Service Medals. He enjoyed coaching youth sports and was an integral part of the Killeen-Cove Chiefs Football team. He loved the Army, he loved the Buckeyes, and he loved the Cowboys – But what he loved most was his four Children! Flag line Establishment: 0725 +/- Once the Funeral Service begins; we will strike the flag line and prepare to participate in the procession to the Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery.

INTERMENT


Staging Time: 0905

Staging Location: The cul-de-sac between the Walk of Heroes and the Memorial Shelter at the Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery located off TX 195 just south of Killeen, TX (http://tinyurl.com/CenTexVetsCeme)

Setup & Briefing: Upon clearance and at the direction of the Ride Captain, we will move to the shelter, set up the flags, be briefed and await arrival of the procession.

Notes:

1. Be at stagings ON TIME.
