The family of CW3 Dallas Knox has graciously requested the Patriot Guard Rider’s presence as they show their final respects and lay their loved one to rest.
CW3 Knox faithfully served his Country in the U.S. Army and performed duties as a Pilot on Black Hawk Medivac Helicopters.
During CW3 Knox’s service to our Grateful Nation, he performed tours in Kosovo, Iraq, Afghanistan and numerous stateside locations.
CW3 Knox’s current duty assignment was Ft. Knox, Ky., and while on leave, he succumbed to the effects of a tragic boating accident.
For his dedicated military service to our Country, CW3 Knox was awarded the Meritorious Service Medal (Posthumous), Air Medal (2nd award), Army Commendation Medal, Army Achievement Medal, Army Reserve Components Achievement Medal (2nd award) National Defense Service Medal, Afghanistan Campaign Medal w/ Bronze Service Star, Iraq Campaign Medal w/ Bronze Service Star (2nd award), Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Armed Forces Reserve Medal w/ 2 M Devices, Army Service Ribbon, Overseas Service Ribbon (3rd award), Coast Guard Sea Service Ribbon, NATO Medal, Coast Guard Meritorious Team Commendation Ribbon, Coast Guard “E” Ribbon, Overseas Service Bar (5th award), Combat Action Badge, Senior Army Aviator Badge and a Meritorious Unit Commendation (Army).
CW3 Knox will receive full Military Honors and LEO escort during his service.
Note: This is a two-part mission.
Part 1 is a Funeral Service in Largo, followed by an LEO escort (approximately 10 miles) to the Cemetery in St. Petersburg.
Part 2 is a Committal Service at Bay Pines National Cemetery, St. Petersburg.
Please bring your 3 X 5 American Flags and join us as we stand in silent Honor and Respect for our U.S. Army GWOT Hero and his family.
