Honor Mission
Craig Robert Carroll, Retired
USN, USNR – GW/ODS
Phenix City, Alabama – 02-14, 02-16-21

ABOUT THE MISSION:

This mission is about honor, respect, and gratitude for the life and service of Craig Carroll, USN retired. Craig served our country for 27 years to include a combat tour in Afghanistan. He was a member of the Lambda Chi Alpha fraternity and the Fort Benning Harley Owners Group (HOG). His awards and decorations include the Defense Merit Service Medal, the NAVRES Sea Service Medal and the Global War on Terror Expeditionary Medal. He is survived by his sister and two nieces. From his friends in the HOG: Many folks will say they know people that are nice guys, but action speaks louder than words. Craig’s actions spoke volumes about his character and being a true friend to many. One friend mentioned that when his lawn mower broke down, Craig showed up and cut his grass. Several of the ladies in HOG wanted to complete the 4 corners challenge, so Craig went out of his way to accompany them so they wouldn’t have to ride such a long distance by themselves. Craig, on his bike “Brown Eyed Girl” rode countless miles with his HOG brothers and sisters. He was a reserved gentleman, but was a friend to all. He will be missed by many, many individuals whose lives he touched. Craig stood for us on many a long cold night; now its time for us to stand for him.
