Service! Service to his country, service to his state, service to his community, service to the Veteran, forever a Sailor, forever an Airman.
Police Chief Wesley B. Sexton served the Columbia and the Forest Acres community as a dedicated Patrolman, Chief, South Carolina Department of Corrections Officer, and Security Officer. Last and certainly not least service to the veteran. He was a 26 year member of American Legion Post 6, Post 40 and Post 8.
Wesley graduated from Olympia High School and was inducted into the Olympia High Athletic Hall of Fame for football, baseball and basketball and a Golden Glove Boxer.
