Ladies & Gentlemen of The PGR:
We have been invited by the family to show our respect and appreciation for AMHC Fred Bishop, USA, USN.
Fred was born in California in 1937. His first military service was in the Army where he spent just over 5 years before entering the Navy where he served for another 22-1/2 years. Fred served two tours in Vietnam, where two separate times his aircraft crashed while on maintenance flights.
He retired from Tacelron 135 on NAS Whidbey Island in 1980 where he served as an A6, EA6B and A4 Systems Organizational Maintenance Technician. He received the following commendations; Vietnam Service Medal, Meritorious Unit Citation, Navy Expeditionary Medal with Ribbon and Five Good Conduct Awards among others.
After retiring from the Navy, Fred spent his time travelling with his wife, Linda, in their “Monster Truck” and RV. He was an avid fisherman and loved to hunt and camp. According to his Daughter, Fred was a true Military Man and Patriot through and through.
Please join me in honoring the life and service of AMHC Bishop.
This is a flag line mission for his Memorial Service with Military Honors. Forecast is Sun and mid 60’s, please plan accordingly.
