Cpl Nicholas K Uzenski, USMC of Tomba, Tx is scheduled to be laid to rest in Bozeman , Montana, on Friday, 1/22. Details to be forthcoming from the Montana PGR RC’s in charge of this mission.

Memorial Service – Franklin Central School, Franklin, New York – Tuesday, 1/19

Cpl Uzenski was 21 years old when he was killed with two fellow Marines in Helmand province in Afghanistan on January 11th.

Although Cpl Uzenski will be buried in Bozeman, Montana on Friday 1/22, Cpl Uzenski grew up in Franklin, NY where his mother currently lives.

The Patriot Guard Riders have been invited to participate in a memorial service for Cpl Nicholas K. Uzenski to be held at the Franklin Central School gymnasium on Tuesday, 1/19 at 5:00pm.

The Patriot Guard Riders will be there to show Honor, Dignity and Respect for the life and service of this fine young man – to be there to provide some comfort and solace to a grieving Gold Star mother. A whole community grieves. Many other veteran’s groups will be in attendance.

Staging : Tuesday, 1/19 – Flag line to be in place no later than 4:00pm for a memorial service that begins at 5:00pm. Further instructions will be available upon your arrival at the school.

DOD Identifies Marine Casualties

The Department of Defense announced today the death of three Marines who were supporting Operation Enduring Freedom.

The following Marines died Jan. 11 while supporting combat operations in Helmand province, Afghanistan:

Staff Sgt. Matthew N. Ingham, 25, of Altoona, Pa.

Cpl. Jamie R. Lowe, 21, of Johnsonville, Ill.

Cpl. Nicholas K. Uzenski, 21, of Tomball, Texas.

Ingham, Lowe and Uzenski were assigned to 3rd Reconnaissance Battalion, 3rd Marine Division, III Marine Expeditionary Force, Okinawa, Japan.
