Good Morning All,

The Patriot Guard Riders have been invited by Mrs. Joey Ernst, sister of fallen Nevada Air National Guard member TSgt. Stephanie McLaughlin to stand and honor TSgt. McLaughin prior to her Celebration of Life.
The service will be held this coming Saturday morning, October 24, 2015 at the Nevada Air National Guard Base, 1776 National Guard Way, Reno, NV which is on the grounds of Reno Tahoe International Airport.

Plan on establishing a flag line at 10:15 AM at the Main Gate of the Air Guard Base. The flag line will disassemble at 11:00 AM.
Arriving from the north on I 580/US 395, take the Reno Tahoe International Airport exit; when you are heading east, entering the airport property, bear right and turn right, south, following the signs Air National Guard and Aviation Way (Aviation Way is the north-south road extending from the airport access road on the north, to National Guard Way on the south). The main gate will then be on your left, adjacent to an elevated F4 Phantom jet fighter aircraft. Just south of the main gate at the stop sign, the Airfield Maintenance building is directly ahead, the rental car parking lot is immediately on the right, the entrance on the south side of the lot (1675 National Guard Way).

We have received clearance for motorcycles to park in the rental car lot; enter on the south side, park along the east side fence and exit the lot through the gate which you entered.
For those in autos, we have received clearance to park in the Airfield Maintenance lot, in front of the building. You will notice an ’employee parking only’ sign, however the lot is available to us as it is a weekend.

Arriving on the freeway from the south (take the Plumb Street exit) or any surface street, proceed south on Terminal Way from the intersection of Plumb Street and Terminal Way. One half mile from that intersection, (cell phone waiting lot small sign on the right), turn left, east, on National Guard Way, 1/4 mile to the stop sign with the Airfield Maintenance building on the right and the rental car lot on the left.

Stephie earned her angel wings very suddenly on September 25, 2015. She was serving her country as a Nevada Air Guardsman in Reno, NV. Stephie was the confidential assistant to The Adjutant General of Nevada, Brig. Gen. William Burks, where her colleagues describe her as “tireless, fearless, extraordinary and passionate” in all she did.
Stephie was a tireless supporter of the Nevada Military Support Alliance and she spent countless hours assisting in the organization and planning of numerous events and fundraisers in support of its mission to “organize and promote the recognition, support and appreciation of Nevada’s Men and Women of our Armed Forces, Veterans and their Families.”
Stephie served her county with pride during her career in the United States Air Force and Air National Guard. She worked for many two, three and four star generals, including Maj Gen (ret) Ron J. Bath, who referred to her as “the most efficient human on the planet” because “there was no job you gave her that she didn’t have the ability to immediately engage, even if you thought it was impossible.” During her career she served at Langley Air Force Base, Virginia; The Pentagon, Washington D.C; McMurdo Station, Antarctica; Ramstein Air Base, Germany and Carson City Joint Force Headquarters, Nevada.

Stephie’s final resting place will be Arlington National Cemetery.
