ABOUT THE MISSION:

WWII Veteran PFC Coleman F. Pierce, 94, served as a cook in the US Army from 15 May 1945 to 11 May 1946. He was awarded the WWII Victory Medal, Asian Pacific Theater, and Sharpshooter Rifle Badge. Mr. Pierce was born February 14, 1927 in Pitman and passed away on May 5, 21. After service he worked on the farm a few years, then spent a career with Barber-Colman in Illinois. Upon retirement he moved back to Arkansas for the hunting and fishing. He was preceded in death by a son, daughter and two sisters. He is survived by his wife of 73 years, one daughter, one son, five grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandson, and numerous other relatives and friends.
